The President romance with Nyesom Wike may not terminate soon as pundits are occupied speculating.
This is because his vexatious efficacy in tackling the hazards of the opposition is in high demand by the President.
President Tinubu is fighting many battles on the political fronts that his team cannot alone sustain.
The nuisance value of Wike is required to confront headlong the underlying maneuvers of political opponents who have refused to acknowledge or back down on their resolve that Tinubu is a legitimate President despite the ruling by the Supreme Court.
His opponents strongly uphold the view that the courts were laboriously compromised to maintain the status quo by jettisoning sufficient evidence brought before it for adjudication.
In his fight for legitimacy and being aware that he is despised by the majority of the citizens due to the grab, snatch, and run away political philosophy which largely influenced the flawed election that ushered in his presidency the need for individuals with proven records of weird kinds of outspokenness, transgression, and judicial affinities is paramount.

As a minister, his first duty was to revoke the certificate of occupancy ( C of O) of prominent politicians to portray them in a bad light. Subsequently, his descent into pettiness is mind-boggling.
He has reenacted his podium-like PH band to fight social media adherents by making vile references to their political arguments and postulations.
Perhaps the recent defection of the 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly has reawakened the comatose PDP NWC who have been forced to state copiously the need to neutralize the journey of perdition embarked upon by Wike.
Whether they can walk the talk or chicken out is a matter left for posterity to decide as only time shall tell.
However for those praying fervently for a day of reckoning when the romance will come to an end, they may have to make do with an endless wait, provided Wike will not have a go at the coveted stool his continuous romance is guaranteed.
