The governor of Enugu State Peter Ndubuisi Mbah had a great time receiving and discussing with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, who was accompanied by the Army high command, on a working visit to the Government House, today.
The immense support of the Army towards his administration has not gone unnoticed said the Governor .
The army has continued to complement the government efforts in bolstering security.
The Governor expressed his gratitude to have in the Army, a partner working with the government as it seek to achieve the goal of growing the state’s economy from the present $4.4 billion to $30 billion.Indeed, Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s visit confirms the government belief that the Army will not relent in strengthening security in Enugu State, especially in Isi-Uzo LGA and other fragile areas.
The Governor thanked him for coming, and aIso assured him that his administration will keep working with the military to combat insecurity. The Governor promised to provide the necessary support to sustain and improve security in Enugu State.
