In line with the presidential initiative to revitalise the economy and lower the cost of goods and services in Nigeria, Dr. Adamu Abdullahi, Ag. Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, FCCPC, has inaugurated a committee to, among others;
- Identify markets with limited competition in the food sector
- Recommend fair pricing solutions & assess their impact
- Propose clear guidelines for price regulation, and
- Make recommendations to the President on price regulation in accordance with the provisions of the FCCPA, 2018; while adhering to free market principles.
The committee has the Director Legal Services, Mr Tam Tamunokombia as chairman with members drawn from various departments and units in the Commission. It has two (2) weeks within which to submit its report.
