The National Chairman of the Labour Party Julius Abure has been arrested by the police in Benin City, Edo State over allegations of attempted murder.
Julius Abure was arrested following a petition by the party’s former Youth Leader, Eragbe Anselm Aphimia.
Abure’s arrest comes just a day before the party’s primary election in Edo state. Party officials are yet to speak on the matter.
