The Police today granted a press briefing today updating the public on the outcome of it investigation on the killing of Suleimon Adijat who was initially reported missing at Onipanu Division, Ogun State 3 weeks ago.
The the main suspects Adebayo Olamide Azeez, Maria Awuraji ‘f’ have been arrested by the police On 23rd February, 2024.
The suspect ( Adebayo Olamide Azeez) made a startling revelation of their serial killings of mainly female victims through hook-up platform “Mychat” on the social media.
He also confessed to have lured seven victims from September, 2023 to 11th January, 2024 among whom was Sulaimon Adijat ‘f’ who triggered this current investigation.
Sequel to the press briefing held on 15th February, 2024 where 10 female bags recovered from the shrine of one of the previously arrested suspects Moses Abidemi Aruwaji ‘m’ and showcased, a relative of one of the deceased on 23rd February, 2024 came to the State CID Eleweran Abeokuta, after watching the press briefing on the television to identify a bag belonging to her sister Olanrewaju Sarah Abosede who ha been missing, the suspect identified the owner as among those they had murdered.
He also confessed and gave vivid details of how he conspired with one Moses Abidemi Awuraji ‘m’ and Maria Awuraji ‘f’ at the house of Moses Abidemi Awuraji at Igbi Olomi Atan, Ogun State , on how the suspects strangulated this victim to death and dismembered thier body parts and sold it to Oluwo Mondy Samuel ‘m’ and Alfa Ariwo ‘m’ (who is still at large) for ritual purposes.
The three suspects confessed to the killing of ten different ladies at the Igbo Olomi residence of Moses Abidemi, one of the suspect Mariam Aruwaji was arrested with a blue Tecno Camon phone belonging to the late Olanrewaju Sarah Abosede.
The Ogun State police command has advised young ladies to use the social media technology positively to avoid untimely death.
The command is also working to unravel identity of other victims, any family who has its relative missing are advised to come too the state CID Eleweran, Abeokuta as the suspect have assured the police they will recognise the victims killed through individual photographs.
