The Zonal Headquarters of Nigeria Customs Service Zone “D” Bauchi underwent a significant transition on Tuesday, 5 March 2024, with the assumption of duty by Ag. Asisstance Comptroler-General of Customs (ACG) Abdulrazaq Abdulazeez as the new Zonal Coordinator. This follows the recent redeployment of Assistance Comptroler-General of Customs (ACG) Ifueko Babalola to Zonal Headquarters Kaduna in the same capacity.
In his inaugural address, the new Ag. ACG urged officers to embrace transparency and professionalism in their duties. He sternly warned against any form of negative conduct, emphasizing a commitment to building upon the achievements of his predecessor.
Highlighting security as a top priority, the Ag. ACG tasked all CAC/Unit heads of the Zone to secure the land borders effectively. He expressed gratitude to CGC BA Adeniyi MFR and reaffirmed his dedication to enforcing the federal government’s fiscal policy.
In her farewell message, the outgoing ACG Ifueko Babalola extended gratitude for the opportunity to serve as Zonal Coordinator Zone āDā Bauchi. She urged officers to extend maximum support to the incoming Ag. ACG and prayed for God’s guidance and intervention for a successful tenure.
Acknowledging the support received during her tenure, ACG Babalola thanked the management staff, officers, and men of the Zonal office.
