The Ogun State police command has has frowned at anyone involved in GBV saying to suspect will not go unpunished as it is a serious crime and violation of fundamental human right of the victim.
Reacting to a report received from Ifesowapo Otitoloju CDA in Ilara Ogijo of a 14 year old female student a jss 1 student of Aderegun Community High School, OGIJO was rapped by Gadafi Bala ”m” aged 24years old, on the 28th of March 2024.
Upon receiving the report, the Division Police Officer visited the victim and issued an examination form for evaluation, which result proved positive on the unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim.
Sequel to the result being confirmed by a doctor of a government owned hospital, Gadafi was promptly arrested.
Preliminary investigation has commenced into the matter, and the case will be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
