A major decision made at today’s State Executive Council Meeting in Rivers State with the re-awarding of the contract for the reconstruction of Okania-Ogbogoro road.
With the intent of accelerating development in the the State, the road will ease the movement of the people on that axis. The project, after due process consideration, was awarded to CCECC at the sum of N6.7billion the Governor of Rivers State disclosed
The decision of the Council which the Governor presided over, was borne out of the fact that the route is significant in taking our people off the East-West road and the ongoing construction work on the Port Harcourt Ring Road.
The state executive Council also considered the immediate fixing of the deplorable Igwuruta roundabout that leads to Chokocho, so as to cushion the challenges created by the bad sections of the road.
