Earlier today, the Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Nanna Nandap, pcc, mmis, fsm played host to both the Honorable Minister of Interior, Hon (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and his counterpart from the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON, FCIArb) at the Service Headquarters in Abuja today.
The purpose of the visit was to inspect the about to be commissioned world-class Data & Monitoring Centre which is pivotal to the Service’s e-border solution project which is a game-changer in the Service’s drive to improve border governance and migration management Both Ministers who were impressed with the level of work done and technology deployed at the Centre.
The Centre would serve as the country’s “Information Base Station” from which data from across the country’s 5 International Airports, land and sea borders would be sent in for real-time analysis.
The API/PNR implementation alongside the already being deployed e-gate technology, would reduce clearance time at the airports.
