On the minimum/ living wage national discourse

The federal government seems to have exhausted it options with the Nigeria labour Congress with the government pushing for 100% minimum wage increase while labour is advocating for living wage of over N494,000 in which the federal government has said it is not realistic it will cost them appropriately 9.5 trillion annually.

The total number of employed workers in the Nigeria Economy both Federal govt (1.2 million), State government and the private sector are not more than 20% of our current population, the remaining 80% are business owners, artisan, retired workers, children, students and the aged ones who are not entitled to retirement benefits. In the interest of peace both parties should settle for a N100,000 minimum/living wage i belive it a good start. God bless the federal republic of Nigeria. Thanks
