EKSG Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Empowerment

Ekiti State Government has recently reaffirmed its dedication to youth empowerment in line with the administration’s “Six Pillars of Development Agenda,” which includes youth development and empowerment as key components for achieving sustainable development and economic resilience in Ekiti State.

Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Gold Adedayo during last week’s edition of Ekiti Loni/Ekiti Today radio program, highlighted the government’s multi-faceted approach to youth empowerment.

The commissioner noted that the creation of the Ministry of Youth Development plays a central role in coordinating youth-related activities and policies.

Citing examples of substantial job creation programmes, such as the “YSJ Bring Back The Youth in Agric” project which has generated over 15,000 direct jobs since October 2022, Mr Adedayo stressed that the primary goals of the BAO administration include fostering economic growth through youth engagement, creating sustainable job opportunities, and enhancing skills development across various sectors.

He emphasised that these efforts are part of a broader strategy to position youths as a cornerstone of Ekiti State’s economic development and constitute major evidence of Governor Oyebanji’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment while.

Ekiti State Government is focused on supporting sectors such as business, entertainment, agriculture, and technology while ensuring comprehensive support for young entrepreneurs and innovators, promoting agricultural initiatives, and integrating youth into technological advancements, thereby aligning with our vision for a prosperous Ekiti State.
