Minister of State for labour and employment meets with ASUU

Minister of State for labour and employment yesterday, engaged in a meeting with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) leadership, headed by Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment office.

Discussing the outstanding issues and demands that led to the strike action by the University of Abuja chapter of the union.

The Minister assured the union leaders that she would facilitate dialogue and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to swiftly resolve the issues.

She said this administration is committed to addressing the lingering concerns from both the past and present, especially those they can address timely, and creating a conducive environment that fosters educational growth and development.

She said they recognise the critical role that academia plays in shaping our nation’s future, and they are dedicated to finding lasting solutions that benefit all parties involved.
