At the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, Ogun State was honoured with the Distinguished Award for Security Delivery (State) at the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS). The prestigious event was organised by The Best Strategic (TBS) Media in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, represented by the Vice President of Nigeria, His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima, presented the award. This recognition was bestowed upon Ogun State in acknowledgment of its pragmatic approach towards addressing security issues under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
