Afreximbank and the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) were thrilled to unveil the winners of the first-ever AFRICA Awards. These prestigious awards celebrate individuals, groups, and organizations that have significantly contributed to improving food and nutritional security, income generation, resilience, and natural resource management across Africa through research, innovation, agripreneurship, and policy advocacy. The awards ceremony took place in Nassau, Bahamas, during the 2024 Afreximbank Annual Meetings (AAM2024) and the AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF).
The selection process, overseen by an Independent Awards Selection Committee comprising globally recognized experts, was highly competitive. Afreximbank and FARA are delighted to announce the two laureates of the 2024 AFRICA Awards:
