NILDS ORGANISE A ONE -DAY RETREAT ON LABOUR REFORMS

The Minister of labour attended a one-day retreat organised by the National Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), with the theme: Labour Reforms and the Quest for Living Wage in Nigeria: Focus on Legislative Intervention.

This gathering brought together a diverse range of stakeholders from various sectors of the economy to engage in in-depth discussions on labour reforms, wages, and related issues affecting Nigeria’s labour ecosystem.

The need to establish laws and policies that not only promote productivity and growth among our workforce but also hold offenders and violators of labour laws accountable has become increasingly important.

The federal government is committed to transforming the labour landscape in Nigeria, ensuring protection and fair compensation for every worker, and with the continued support of stakeholders, and she is confident that they will collectively achieve the desired goal.
