Governor of Ogun State appreciates gallant police officers

Last week, it was reported that over Twenty people were kidnapped at Ilisan along the Sagamu-Benin Expressway. However, the police clarified that only Four individuals; a Nigerian and three Indian nationals were involved. The Ogun State police command used various creative and ingenious means to bring the kidnappers to justice, neutralising all of them in the process.

The Governor has also warned criminals that Ogun State is a no-go area. And his administration is just beginning its efforts, and this incident is a sample of what the State Police Command has in store for criminals. The Governor has said anyone that test it will, the machinery of the will come after such criminal elements by, smoking them out, and neutralising them.

As the industrial capital of Nigeria, his administration has taken it has a serious offence any breach of peace and security and are willing to provide necessary support for the law enforcement agencies. So t investor confidence can be maintained while they do business with ease.

The recent award as ‘Governor of the Year in State Security’ acknowledges his administration’s initiatives, investment, and support for security agencies. The Governor thanked the Commissioner of Police for his excellent work in motivating his men and collaborating with other law enforcement agencies. The Governor said his support for the police is showing positive results, and he is grateful for their hard work in ensuring the safety of the state.

He also appreciated all the men involved in the rescue operation for their bravery. The Governor specifically requested that the Commissioner bring them so he could thank them and let them know the entire state is grateful for their efforts.

Additionally, the Governor also said he discussed with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the need to repair the bad spots on the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode Motorway, which are being exploited by hoodlums. The President has directed the Minister of Works to address these issues promptly.
