The Kano State Governor declared open The Kano Education Recovery Conference, earlier today.
The conference, is jointly organized by PLANE Nigeria, Arewa Consultative Forum, and the Kano State Government, and it aims to reposition education in the state.
The Governor used the opportunity to further express his administration commitment to transforming the education system, which got an allocation of 29.95% of the 2024 budget to education, the highest in the country.
This has given birth to various initiatives, including the construction of new classrooms, renovation of schools, and recruitment of teachers in the state.
Furthermore, the conference aims to identify actionable strategies and policies to overcome existing challenges and build a synergistic, inclusive, and responsive education system.
The administration goal is to ensure that every child in Kano receives quality education, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
The Governor also wished all the experts, policy makers, and stakeholders that the conference has brought together, a fruitful stay in Kano.
