IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun completes 35 years service in the Nigeria Police Force

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, should be proceeding on terminal leave on Thursday, August 1st 2024. Having completed his service in the Nigeria Police Force after 35 years of meritorious service. While in the police force, IG Egbetokun ran one of the most ethnically-laden police hierarchies, and he now plans with president Bola Tinubu to become the Nigerian “Paul Biya” of the Nigeria Police Force by the President amending the police Act to guarantee him 4 years tenure.

This means nobody else within the Nigeria Police Force could rise to become Police IG in the next 4 years.
