Afreximbank set to propel Africa’s industrialization

At the SADC Industrialisation Week in Harare, Mr. Denys Denya, Senior Executive VP of Afreximbank, underscored the pressing need for more direct and foreign investment to propel Africa’s industrialization.

  1. The forum, organized by the Government of Zimbabwe, Afreximbank, and key regional stakeholders, showcased efforts to boost industrialization, investment, and inter-regional trade in the SADC region.

With several high-impact projects, including the $300 million Zimborders initiative and the construction of the Afreximbank Africa Trade Centre in Zimbabwe, along with significant pipeline projects like the $2 bn Amufert Petrochemical fertilizer plant in Angola and the USD 529 million Nyanza Light Metals Titanium Dioxide Pigment plant in South Africa, the potential for future growth in the region is significant. All these projects are supported by Afreximbank, reinforcing it commitment to advancing industrialization and trade across the SADC region and beyond.
