Governor of Plateau State visits NDLEA headquarters in Abuja

The Governor of Plateau State said he his deeply committed to collaborating with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the fight against the growing menace of illicit drugs.

During the Governor recent visit to the NDLEA headquarters in Abuja, the Governor had the opportunity to meet with Brig. Gen. Muhammad Buba Marwa (Rtd), the agency’s Chairman/Chief Executive.

The Governor also commended Gen. Marwa for his outstanding efforts in combating substance abuse across the nation and expressed his administration’s gratitude for the support they have received in Plateau State.

The Governor said he firmly believe that his administration partnership with the NDLEA is crucial in addressing the widespread impact of drug abuse, which has tragically touched nearly every family in Plateau state. The Governor emphasized the importance of enhancing the collaboration, particularly in leveraging intelligence networks to disrupt the supply chains of these dangerous substances.

Additionally, the Governor engaged with the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Doris Anite, to explore ways to revitalize small-scale businesses in Plateau State. As his administration is focused on creating an environment where businesses can thrive, thereby improving the livelihoods of our citizens.

Together, these efforts reflect his administration dedication to the well-being and prosperity of Plateau State, and his administration will continue to work tirelessly to achieve the set goals.
