…as the state command rolls out phone numbers and social media accounts to report police officers’ unprofessional conducts
The Enugu State Police Command is informing the public that its Complaint Response Unit (CRU) has commenced operations. The unit, saddled with the responsibility of receiving and professionally handling complaints of unprofessional conduct against police officers, is located at the State Command Headquarters, GRA, Enugu.
The Command enjoins the public, particularly citizens of Enugu State, to promptly report police unprofessional conduct to the Unit by calling:

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), has assured the public of the Command’s commitment to ensure utmost professionalism, warning that professional infractions by any police officer in the Command will be appropriately sanctioned. He calls on the citizenry to utilize the contacts and social media platforms provided to report erring police officers, noting that discipline remains the foundation of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Commissioner appreciates the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetukun, Ph.D., NPM, for his foresight in giving full effect to the establishment of the CRU and his unrelenting efforts to reposition the NPF as the foremost and truly professional security agency in Africa. He further appreciates the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Nigeria, for supporting the establishment and equipment ofthe Enugu State Command’s CRU Office, assuring that everything will be done to make the office work optimally.
