A delegation from the Green Hub, University of Lagos (UNILAG) paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) to gain first hand insight into the agency’s efforts and strategies in environmental management and sustainability practices.
The delegation, consisting of enthusiastic students, volunteers, and interns actively involved in environmental sustainability initiatives, was led by the Coordinator of UNILAG Green Hub, Dr. Adelopo Abdulganiyu.
They were received by the General Manager LASEPA, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi.
The visit was aimed at providing the delegation with hands-on experience and exposure to LASEPA’s ISO-certified laboratory, where they were shown the physical and biological laboratory analysis of environmental samples.
The General Manager gave a comprehensive overview of the agency’s day-to-day activities, highlighting its efforts in environmental protection and sustainability.
Dr. Ajayi noted that LASEPA is committed to ensuring that Lagos State’s environment is protected for future generations, expressing the Agency’s williness to collaborate with stakeholders, including academic institutions, to achieve the goal.
The delegation was impressed by the agency’s state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from LASEPA’s experts.
