Following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja on Monday, the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, addressed critical national issues, beginning with the government’s response to the devastating flood disaster in Borno State.
He highlighted President Tinubu’s decision to prioritize this discussion and the establishment of a new disaster relief fund, aimed at improving Nigeria’s preparedness and resilience in the face of future natural disasters.
The Honourable Minister also spoke about the passing of the Economic Stabilization Bill, designed to implement fiscal and tax reforms that will enhance the country’s economic environment, reflecting the government’s commitment to both immediate disaster response and long-term economic stability.
