The Governor of Ekiti yesterday signed into law three bills that will have a lasting impact on the governance and development of Ekiti State.
One of the most important bills is the Ekiti State Property Protection (Anti-Land Grabbing) Law, 2024. This law will help protect the rights of property owners and ensure that land transactions are conducted in a fair and transparent manner. The Governor has assured the people that this law will be fully enforced, and his administration will not tolerate any violations, no matter who is involved.
In addition to the anti-land grabbing law, the Governor also signed the High Court Law (First Amendment, 2014) and the Ekiti State Legislative House (Powers and Privileges) Law, 2024. These laws will strengthen the state legal and legislative frameworks.
The Governor also commend the 7th Assembly for their continued support and cooperation, which has been instrumental in the progress his administration has achieved in Ekiti State. Together, we will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy and build a brighter future for our people.
