So many stories in Nigeria will almost make you go crazy because you don’t even know how to judge rightly
Sometimes ago in one State in the South West, the outgoing Governor made some approval of funds to be released a few days to handing to to his successor who was from the opposition party in the State then The incoming Governor had threatened also that any Bank holding State funds who approved any late hour billions would face the consequences of such action.
Here’s the problem, the outgoing executive governor had all executive power to do everything till the last moment. The Banks also were trying to play their game so as to be in the good book of the new incoming executive governor.
The bank was said to have sent all their main staff that ought to approve whatever on “emergency leave” just to escape the few days horror movie happening…
The Outgoing Governor engaged the services of the LEGAL LUMINARY we all know with big names in Nigeria…
Whatever the deal was, the story on the street was that it was a good percentage deal for the SAN if he could force the Bank to pay that approval the outgoing Governor gave in the last moment Well, when the Bank saw the implication of not releasing that fund, they had to bow and they did the needful. The outgoing governor was happy, the LEGAL LUMINARY was happy, the team of lawyers working there must be very happy….
The Legal Luminary is always in the News since the days of Obasanjo telling us how Politicians have been destroying this Country…..The same made it under every regime and worked PPOWERFULLY with politicians to corner State funds through Court.
