Energy Commission of Nigeria pledges support for awareness campaigns for AGORA program success

 

The Director General Energy Commission of Nigeria yesterday, welcomed a team of experts from the UNDP and UNEP to the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja. They had a productive discussion on AGORA, a French-funded initiative aimed at promoting energy efficiency in Ghana and Nigeria.

Committed to supporting initiatives that align with the agencies energy affordability mandate. AGORA’s focus on banning secondhand cooling systems and promoting energy-efficient alternatives resonates with it goals.

The experts emphasized the importance of collaboration with key regulators like the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON), MAN, and Nigeria Customs Service. The DG however assured them of the Commission’s support for awareness campaigns and our commitment to working together to make AGORA a success. Expectedly, the agency is looing forward to the program’s launch mid-next year.
