CBN has lost its inflation fight this year with the recent inflation numbers rising to 34.6%
Pretty perplexed about the interest rate rises that fails to fight back inflation and saddened that business growth is squeezed like Sardines from Morroco due to a jarring interest rate that stifles borrowing. Borrowing at close to 30% is like handcuffing a 6 year old and expecting him to beat Mike Tyson at his prime.
Very giddy about the effect in the pockets of Nigerians already made poor by successive governments, waiting to be slaughtered by excruciating economic conditions in the new year.
Also scared of a political class that can’t proffer solutions to the challenges.
2025 will be a year of less governance and more politicking( I might be wrong) as it culturally obtains because of the elections in 2027. This also makes me shudder.
Dustraught by the disequilibrium among the citizenry divided on the lines of tribe and religion as propelled by political leadership. The fact that Nigerians cannot agree on a common creed for good leadership and everything is seen via the kaleidoscope of tribal, race, wanton ignorance and a level of acerbic tomfoolery, scares the living day light out of all Nigerians
