Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, visited Dele Farotimi at his Lagos residence. This marked their first meeting since Farotimi’s recent release from the correctional facility in Ekiti State.
In a post on X on Thursday, Obi shared, “Following my meeting with President Obasanjo yesterday, I took the opportunity to visit my dear younger brother, Dele Farotimi.”
Obi praised Farotimi, who served as a spokesperson during his presidential campaign, calling him a symbol of courage. “Since his return from the correctional center in Ekiti, I had not been able to meet with him until now,” he noted.
“I was pleased to see him in good spirits and greatly inspired by his unwavering commitment to the fight for a better Nigeria.”
