LASEPA seals 14 establishments due to noise pollution and public health safety

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) yesterday intensified its enforcement activities by sealing 14 establishments across different parts of the State.

This decisive measure was taken in response to the public complaints against noise pollution and other environmental violations that pose significant threats to public health and safety.

The operations targeted several areas, including Iyana Ekoro Road in Abule Egba, Command Ipaja, Iyana Ipaja, Ayobo, Abubakar Pipeline in Abule Egba, Casso Road and Kollington Road in Alagbado.

Among the sealed establishments are New Look Hotel, PH Lounge, Matrix Lounge & Bar, Blue Carnival Hotel, Assemblies of God Church, Glory of New Jerusalem Church, gLamitas Hotel & Suites, Celestial Church of God, Faddy Lounge Hotel & Suites, Lacruze Hotel & Lounge & Bar, Musaroq Mall, Comfort Grand Hotel & Suites, BestVille Garden & Lounge, and Tops Lounge.

The General Manager, LASEPA,Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, emphasized that the agency is resolute in its commitment to protecting the environment and safeguarding public health.

He reaffirmed LASEPA’s dedication to monitoring and addressing environmental violations across the State to ensure a safer and healthier Lagos for all.
