Chairman of the National Sports Commission receives Plateau State Governor, discuss strategic partnership on Plateau sports

The Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Shehu Dikko, recently received Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, at the NSC Secretariat in Abuja. Their meeting focused on a strategic partnership to advance shared goals in sports, including Plateau State’s commitment to completing the New Jos Township Stadium and activating the NSC Training Center in the state, with the backing of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Mutfwang commended President Tinubu for restoring the NSC and appointing Mallam Dikko as Chairman, expressing confidence in his leadership to drive sports development. “This is the first time in sports that everyone agrees the right person was chosen. I am confident this collaboration will yield results because of the man in charge,” the governor stated.

Mallam Dikko also expressed optimism about the partnership, lauding the governor’s dedication to sports growth in Plateau State. “Plateau is a place of interest to us, and there’s much we can achieve together. With the establishment of a joint-working committee, we will translate these goals into action,” he said.
