Minister of education Tunji Alausa has said the ministry ongoing efforts to establish the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, Kaduna State, he said he his pleased to announce that they have inaugurated the University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Qurix Williams Barnabas; Principal Officers and Governing Council.
The establishment of a Federal University in Southern Kaduna, is of great significance to the people of Southern Kaduna.
In full alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s plan for education, the Federal University of Applied Sciences will provide the citizens of Kaunda, especially those in the south, with better access to education, job and career opportunities, better learning environments and in turn provide a positive impact the growth of Southern Kaduna.
With an inaugurated Governing council the university is on track to open its doors to students by the start of the 2025/2026 academic year.
The Minister said he would like to reiterate his gratitude to Vice President His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, for his leadership in bringing this project to fruition, the minister also extended his thanks to the Governor of Kaduna, Senator Sani Uba, for his unwavering dedication to enhancing education in his state and improving the lives of his constituents. The Minister also thanked the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gabwin Musa, for his commitment ensure the safeguarding of the university and its students once the it’s doors opens.
This is another win for Kaduna, for Education, for Mr President and Nigeria.
