The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has reiterated its commitment to professionalism, fairness, and strict adherence to legal standards in its recruitment, placement, and career advancement processes for its staff, stakeholders, and the general public.
This reaffirmation was made in a statement released on Sunday by Henry Agbebire, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection.
FAAN stressed that all human resource activities are conducted in accordance with established regulations to promote equity, competence, and organizational effectiveness.
“FAAN’s recruitment, placement, and career advancement procedures are guided by established regulations aimed at ensuring fairness, competence, and organizational efficiency,” the statement highlighted.
Emphasizing merit-based practices, the authority confirmed its commitment to fair processes.
“The Authority upholds a strong culture of due process and will strictly adhere to the frameworks that foster fairness and meritocracy at all levels,” it added.
On the topic of staff qualifications during recruitment, FAAN assured employees that there is no pressure to modify or conceal their credentials. “No employee is required to change or hide their qualifications at any stage of our recruitment process,” the statement affirmed.
Furthermore, the authority outlined its measures to safeguard staff dignity and tackle workplace misconduct. “FAAN’s internal systems for reporting, investigation, and resolution are active, confidential, and rigorously enforced to protect the dignity and well-being of all employees,” it stated.
Lastly, FAAN announced that the Managing Director has authorized an internal review of certain employment-related issues to enhance clarity and ensure consistent policy implementation. “This review is intended to strengthen clarity, ensure uniform policy application, and instill confidence in the systems that govern staff advancement,” the statement concluded.
