DSS Dismisses 115 Personnel Over Disciplinary Infractions

The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced the dismissal of 115 personnel as part of ongoing internal reforms to uphold discipline, integrity, and professionalism within the Service.

In a statement released on Tuesday via its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the DSS said the decision followed a comprehensive review process that identified the affected individuals. The names of the dismissed personnel have been published on the agency’s official website.

The Service cautioned members of the public against conducting any official or private dealings with those dismissed, noting that some of them have been impersonating DSS officials to defraud unsuspecting citizens.

“As part of the ongoing reforms in the Department of State Services (DSS), the public is hereby informed that a total of 115 personnel have been dismissed over a period,” the statement read in part.

“In addition to earlier disclaimers on the duo of Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, the Service finds it necessary to warn citizens of the fraudulent activities of some of these persons still posing as DSS personnel. Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any official dealing with these individuals who have been dismissed by the Service.”

The DSS further reiterated its commitment to professionalism and transparency, urging citizens to report any suspicious activities through its official communication channels.

For enquiries, complaints, or reports, the Service can be contacted on 09088373515 or via email at dsspr@dss.gov.ng.
