Lagos, Nigeria – December 31, 2025 – In a ceremony aimed at boosting morale and rewarding excellence, the Commissioner of Police for Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has decorated thirty-five (35) newly promoted senior officers.
The promotion exercise, which impacted officers within the command, saw thirty (30) Superintendents of Police (SP) elevated to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), and five (5) Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) promoted to Superintendent of Police (SP).
Addressing the officers, CP Jimoh described their advancement as a testament to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun’s, commitment to professionalism and motivation within the Nigeria Police Force.
“This promotion is a clear demonstration of the Inspector-General of Police’s unwavering commitment to professionalism, motivation, and reward for excellence,” stated CP Jimoh. “It underscores the fact that hard work, dedication, and discipline are recognized and duly rewarded.”
The Commissioner expressed the command’s appreciation to the IGP for finding the officers worthy of the new responsibilities. He emphasized that the promotions serve as a critical morale booster expected to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery across Lagos State.
With the new ranks comes increased responsibility. CP Jimoh charged the decorated officers to demonstrate greater diligence, discipline, and professionalism in their duties.
“Higher rank comes with increased responsibility and accountability,” he remarked, expressing confidence that the officers would continue to contribute meaningfully to the safety and security of Lagos residents.
