The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of N2.094 trillion to the federal government, 36 states, and 774 local government councils from revenue collected in October 2025.
The distribution was approved during the November 2025 FAAC meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday, chaired by the Accountant-General of the Federation.
According to the official communiqué, the total gross revenue available in October 2025 stood at N2.934 trillion. This included:
Gross statutory revenue: N2.164 trillion (an increase of N36.832 billion from September 2025’s N2.128 trillion)
Value Added Tax (VAT): N719.827 billion (a decrease of N152.803 billion from September’s N872.630 billion)
Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL): N47.870 billion
After deductions for cost of collection (N115.278 billion) and transfers/interventions/refunds (N724.603 billion), the distributable amount was N2.094 trillion, comprising:
Distributable statutory revenue: N1.376 trillion
VAT revenue: N670.303 billion
EMTL revenue: N47.870 billion
Breakdown of shares:

State Governments: N689.120 billion
Local Government Councils: N505.803 billion

The communiqué noted significant increases in Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT)/Hydrocarbon Tax (HT), Companies Income Tax (CIT) on upstream activities, oil and gas royalties, import duty, excise duty, and CET levies. However, VAT, EMTL, and certain fees recorded declines compared to the previous month.
This allocation marks a slight decrease from the N2.103 trillion shared for September 2025, reflecting mixed performance in key revenue streams amid ongoing economic reforms.
