Petrol Marketers to Enact Nationwide Fuel Price Reduction – IPMAN

Petrol Marketers to Enact Nationwide Fuel
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) announced that its members will start implementing the recent fuel price reduction initiated by Dangote Refinery starting Tuesday through next week.

Chinedu Ukadike, IPMAN spokesperson, shared this information exclusively with DAILY POST, stating that Nigerians will soon feel the effects of the lowered fuel prices.

This announcement follows Dangote Refinery’s latest price cut, which decreased its gantry price by N129 to N699 per liter, down from N828.

Aliko Dangote commented on Sunday that, due to the reduction in gantry prices, petrol should now cost Nigerians approximately N740 per liter.

“From Tuesday and throughout next week, you will witness the impact and benefits of this reduction in petroleum prices,” he said.

In reference to the ongoing disagreement between Dangote and Farouk Ahmed, the CEO of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (MDPRA), he emphasized the need for collaboration for the benefit of the Nigerian people.

“I believe that NMDPRA and Dangote should work together to ensure a steady supply of petroleum products, allowing the masses to reap the rewards of the reduced prices,” he urged.

A market survey conducted by a reliable source on Monday revealed that Bovas filling station in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, has slashed its retail fuel price to N865 per liter, down from N910 earlier that day.

Other stations such as Empire Energy and Ranoil in Gwarimpa, Abuja have adjusted their prices to N912 and N910 per liter, respectively.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NIPCO) and AA Rano filling stations in Abuja were reported to be selling petrol at N915, N905, and N910 per liter, respectively, as of Monday night.

Meanwhile, the MRS retail price remained stable at N910 per liter but is expected to decrease starting Tuesday.
